I have over 30 years of experience practicing Immigration Law, and I have personally helped hundreds of clients stabilize their immigration status.

My goal is to help you resolve immediate complex issues, develop strategies and long term planning and represent you from start to finish in receiving the appropriate immigration benefits.

HIAS Pathways Trailblazer Award 

The HIAS Pathways Trailblazer Award recognizes the top congregations nationwide that have led unique projects, volunteer efforts, or emergency responses to crises. My synagogue, the Society for the Advancement of Judaism (SAJ), was honored with this prestigious award based on the congregation’s hard work, passion, and dedication to immigrant rights. The award was issued in recognition of multiple projects initiated by SAJ, including the SAJ/CRS Pro Se Legal Clinic, which I co-founded and run.

Recent Activities for Allison Spitz-Perry, Esq.

I am proud to announce that I have accepted the role of General Counsel for the New York City Gay Hockey Association (NYCGHA). NYCGHA is New York’s first official gay hockey organization. With six teams, over 150 skaters, and 600+ fans worldwide, the mission of the NYCGHA is to provide an environment free of harassment and discrimination for members and friends of the LGBT community to play ice hockey and fulfill their athletic aspirations. A truly diverse organization, the NYCGHA membership is a mixture of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight men and women. (Twenty percent of the membership is female, and 30 percent is heterosexual.)

The NYCGHA is a member of Gay Hockey International and is a Nonprofit Organization under IRS code 501(c)(3). My services for the NYCGHA is on a pro-bona basis.

Founded in 1946, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is a non-partisan, non-profit, voluntary bar association that provides professional services, information, continuing legal education, and expertise to over 16,000 attorneys practicing and teaching immigration law nationwide. 

Organized by the New York City Gay Hockey Association (NYCGHA), the Chelsea Challenge is an annual adult LGBTQ and LGBTQ-friendly ice hockey tournament that attracts players from around the world.
